Chicago Biotech Network Presents Illinois Biotech Companies to Investors at BioMarketplace '99

    CHICAGO, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chicago Biotech Network (CBN) will
 host a biotech investors conference, "CBN Illinois BioMarketplace '99,"
 featuring presentations by emerging Illinois biotech companies seeking
 corporate partners and investors.  The program will be held at the Chicago
 Illini Union, University of Illinois at Chicago, 828 South Wolcott Avenue, in
 Chicago, Friday, October 29, 1999.
     Biotech expert Michael D. Becker, Editor of the Beck On Bio Tech
 newsletter, is the keynote speaker at BioMarketplace '99.  His theme will be:
 "Catching the Next Wave:  Biotech Opportunities in Illinois and the Great
 Lakes Region."
     Emerging Illinois companies participating at BioMarketplace'99 are:
 Advanced Life Sciences, Inc.; BA Technologies Inc.; Biosafe Medical
