Chiu-Ti Jansen Joins Sidley Austin LLP as a Partner in its Global Insurance & Financial Services Practice

    NEW YORK, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Sidley Austin LLP today announced that
 Chiu-Ti Jansen has joined the firm as a partner in its Global Insurance &
 Financial Services Practice, resident in the firm's New York office. Ms.
 Jansen will focus her practice on transactional matters for insurance
 companies and related entities, as well as other sectors of the financial
 services industry, with a focus on capital markets, mergers and
 acquisitions and structured finance transactions.

     Ms. Jansen has extensive experience in a wide range of complex
 transactions and restructurings within the insurance industry. She also
 represents issuers, underwriters and majority shareholders in connection
 with numerous insurance industry-focused IPOs, equity, debt, trust
 preferred and convertible securities offerings, including innovative
 insurance-linked securitizations. She has significant experience with
 private equity and has handled the formation and capital raising of several
 onshore and offshore insurance and reinsurance companies.
     Previously a partner at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae LLP, Ms. Jansen
 has written on securities law, internal control and disclosure issues for
 the Wall Street Lawyer and The Deal. She received her J.D. from Columbia
 University School of Law, where she was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar,
 and her M.Phil. degree from Yale University, where she served as
 Co-Editor-In-Chief of the Yale Journal of Law and the Humanities. She
 received her B.A., summa cum laude, from National Taiwan University.
