Cornell rejoins Washington, D.C. office as Counsel

WASHINGTON, D.C., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading international law firm Clifford Chance recently announced that Tim Cornell has rejoined the firm as counsel in the Antitrust practice of its office here. From 2000 to 2003 Cornell was an associate in Clifford Chance's New York office. He has spent the past six years working in the Antitrust group at law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.

Cornell will be working closely with partner Bill Blumenthal, head of Clifford Chance's Antitrust practice and former General Counsel of the Federal Trade Commission.

Cornell has significant experience advising clients concerning competition law issues in government investigations, the regulatory review of mergers and acquisitions and the adoption of antitrust best practices. He has guided clients through United States Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice regulatory investigations. Cornell has worked to achieve both United States and internal regulatory clearance of transactions for clients in numerous industries including banking, health care, satellites, nuclear energy, automotive, printing, pharmaceutical, media, security and natural gas.

Cornell obtained his JD from Georgetown, cum laude, and his BS in Political Science from the United States Naval Academy.
