HOUSTON, Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Chemical Market Associates, Inc. (CMAI) is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Ian Elway as Director of Olefins & Derivatives - Europe, Middle East & Africa. Ian will have responsibility for CMAI's Europe/Middle East Olefins & Derviatives Market Advisory Service based in CMAI's Dusseldorf, Germany location. Ian replaces Mr. Tony Potter in this role, as Tony has moved to Dubai to manage CMAI's Middle East operations.

Ian joins CMAI after a long career with LyondellBasell Industries and its legacy companies, where he worked in Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific. He spent his early career with Shell International Chemical and subsequently moved to Montell Polyolefins where he had a variety of posts in marketing, product management and planning mostly based in Brussels before moving to Asia with Basell with responsibility for sales and marketing across Asia-Pacific. Ian returned to Europe in 1995 and assumed responsibility for the introduction of new price risk management tools across the global business, including trading derivatives.
