CME Group Names David L. Shuler as Managing Director, Alliance and Venture Management

CHICAGO, July 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse derivatives exchange, today announced that it has named David L. Shuler as Managing Director, Alliance and Venture Management.

Shuler, 46, will be responsible for directing CME Group's investments in new businesses and strategic partnerships, including joint ventures, global alliances and other growth initiatives. He reports to Ken Vroman, Managing Director and Chief Corporate Development Officer.

Before joining CME Group, Shuler served as Senior Vice President, Exchange Solutions for NYSE Technologies, where he headed NYSE Euronext's exchange technology business. He also served as Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff for NYSE during the company's transition to a public company, as well as for NYSE Euronext. Shuler previously held leadership roles at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York and Japan, and he spent over a decade as a diplomat in the U.S. State Department. He received a bachelor's degree in government from Dartmouth College.
