ANAHEIM, Calif., Dec. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CMTL, (www.cmtlabs.com), Computer Memory Test Labs, the industry's leading memory compatibility and functionality testing lab, announced today that it has established a memory product Platinum Level Certification for platform compatibility and functionality. In order to achieve Platinum level certification, memory product part number must have a locked down BOM (Bill Of Materials). In addition, the server DIMM part number must pass the Advanced Test Process on a minimum of 15 different server platforms. The SODIMM/SSD commercial temp (-0°C ~ 60°C) part number must pass the Advanced Test Process on a minimum of 10 small form factor/embedded platforms. The industrial temp (-40°C ~ 85°C) SODIMM/SSD must pass the Advanced Test Process on a minimum of 5 industrial small form factor/embedded platforms.
CMTL President, John Deters stated, "CMTL Platinum Certification provides a means to identify and recognize a select group of products from manufacturers that far exceed the standard for acceptable platform compatibility and functionality. To achieve Platinum Certification from CMTL, the memory product must be near "bullet proof " which we believe translates into high reliability and sustainable error free product performance."
