CNN Spotlights Lizbeth Lane Gourmet Cuisine: A Unique Story
BERWYN, Pa., Feb. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Lizbeth Lane Gourmet Cuisine (Berwyn, PA), a gourmet food manufacturer, was recently featured on CNN's Your Bottom Line where host Christine Romans described their company as "a boomer re-boot". Their story goes on to include the company working with special needs people as part of their fulfillment operations.
Ridgely Francisco, President, and Michael Dernoga, CEO, reinvented themselves in 2010 due to a downward spiral in the economy. With a combined 60 years worth of business experience, they took their love of cooking and food to create a line of unique, all natural and gluten-free simmer sauces.
The collection of simmer sauces includes: Marsala & Tarragon, Mediterranean Tomato, Lemon Piccata and Roasted Red Pepper & Basil Cream Sauce. They are simply added to sauteed seafood, poultry, pork or pasta. A major selling point is that the line of simmer sauces are not overly exotic, which can lead to only occasional sales. Lizbeth Lane sauces are becoming household staples because of their familiar flavors.
In a market place flooded with BBQ Sauces, pasta sauces and marinades, Lizbeth Lane set out to differentiate themselves in the market place. They have successfully carved out a unique niche within the sauce category by creating a line which allows consumers to create true gourmet quality entrees in under 20 minutes.
Not only did CNN take notice of these simmer sauces but numerous articles have been published about this new and growing company. Food & Beverage World in November 2010, local newspapers in the Philadelphia area, as well as being chosen as the "Editor's Pick" in the February 2011 issue of Progressive Grocer Magazine. Lizbeth Lane was also a featured item on the Hot Product list for the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA).
In just under two years, Lizbeth Lane Gourmet Cuisine Simmer Sauces have rolled out into over 60 stores in 16 states. "That list is growing", states Michael Dernoga, CEO. "Since our CNN interview, we have been working around the clock to fulfill customers' requests."
Lizbeth Lane Cuisine is also planning to launch a line of gourmet pizza sauces in early to mid 2012. What will make these sauces unique is the fact that none of them will be a typical pizza red sauce. The recipes are now being finalized for production.
"Our position is simple," states President, Ridgely Francisco. "Our brand will stand for unique, premium quality gourmet food items in the retail market place which are good enough to serve guests."
The company's tagline is: "You make the meal. We make it fabulous."
