DENVER, July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Colorado artist Carrie Fell will be
featuring intriguing new works during "A Thousand Miles Apart" this summer at
Rollins Gallery in Edwards, Colorado. The exhibit opens with an Artist
 Reception July 13, 2001 from 4-7 p.m. and runs July 13 through July 31.
Please call Rollins Gallery at 970-926-9233 or visit for
 more information.
A nationally-renowned artist, Fell has been painting professionally for
more than fifteen years and is best known for her unconventional Western art.
Fell's unique cowboys in vibrant colors depict a spirit of the west and a
distinctive view of the high country. These bold, hard-charging horsemen
often emerge as a modern tribute to America's past.
Anita Grisebaum, owner of Rollins Gallery, has long been an admirer of
Fell's work. The Gallery has carried her paintings since opening in 1997.
"The large, colorful faceless cowboys fluidly depicted by Carrie in acrylics
and pastels have always enjoyed high demand at Rollins Gallery," states
This body of work represents a colorful collection of abstract images.
"If you look at 'A Thousand Miles Apart,' the first piece I painted for
Rollins, you can see that the cowboys are close together, yet deep in their
own thoughts," states Fell. "That really says a lot about this show -- there
are similarities in the work as far as color and motion, but the images are
very different, representing an energetic, looseness reflective of the season
 and my mood."
Fell's work can be seen in numerous galleries in addition to Rollins,
including Third Canyon Gallery in Denver, Colorado and Wilde-Meyer Galley in
Scottsdale, Arizona. Corporate collectors of Carrie's work include Forbes,
Adam's Mark Hotels, Sheplers and Colorado Business Bank.
     Carrie Fell's West
With a passion for the west, contemporary artist Carrie Fell uses the high
country as a source of inspiration. Fell's art depicts an illusion of the
cowboy life and the spirit of the West. In her paintings, cowboys are not
conveyed in a traditional style, but in vibrant colors and fluid forms, which
can be seen through mixed media images on both paper and canvas. Gallery
representatives of Carrie's work include Third Canyon Gallery in Denver,
Colorado; Rollins Gallery in Edwards, Colorado and Wilde-Meyer Galley in
Scottsdale, Arizona. Please visit to view Carrie's West.
