BERLIN, Conn., March 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Comcast customers in Connecticut will be able to tune in to the New York Yankees entire 2007 season in crystal-clear high-definition (HD), the company announced today. Starting on April 1, Comcast will add YES HD, the newly-launched standalone YES Network high-definition service, to its robust HD lineup. The new network can be viewed on channel 201 throughout most of the state, except in the Old Lyme, Norwich, Seymour and Waterbury areas where it can be viewed on channel 771. "From the first pitch to the last out, Yankee fans will be able to enjoy all of their team's home and away games in the clarity of high-definition television," said Doug Guthrie, Vice President of Comcast's Connecticut- Western Massachusetts Region. "Comcast continues to be the leading HD provider in the state of Connecticut, offering our customers the most HD viewing choices, crystal-clear picture quality and unparalleled control over their viewing choices." Like the standard-definition YES Network, YES HD will broadcast 127 Yankees games throughout the 2007 season, including the season-opener on Monday, April 2, when the Yankees host Tampa Bay (1:00 pm ET). In addition to Yankees games, YES HD will feature all studio programs, including Yankees and Nets pre- and post-game shows, "Yankees Batting Practice Today," select "Mike & the Mad Dog" shows, "Yankees Hot Stove" and "This Week In Football." During the 2007-2008 NBA basketball season, YES HD will also provide high- definition coverage of all New Jersey Nets home and away games.
