Comcast Cable Launches BYU Television and EWTN

Popular Religious Channels Start Today

    SEATTLE, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast Cable Communications Inc., the
 state's leading provider of cable and broadband services, today announced
 today the launch of two popular religious programming channels to its
 customers in Washington State -- Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) and
 BYU Television.
     The two channels are available on Comcast Digital Cable as part of the
 company's Digital Classic package. EWTN can be seen on channel 232, while BYU
 TV can be found on channel 233.
     Begun in 1981, EWTN has grown to become one of the largest religious media
 networks in the world transmitting programming 24 hours a day to more than
 79 million homes in 110 countries. The network is the home of Mother Angelica
 Live, shown every Tuesday and Wednesday.
     BYU TV is available to more than 24 million homes in the United States and
 features programming from Brigham Young University as well as from the Church
 of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Featured programming includes:  General
 Conference broadcasts and rebroadcasts, CES and church firesides and BYU
 sporting events.
