NEW YORK, Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Socially and politically provocative comedian Greg Giraldo is hitting college campuses across the country in a 20- city stand-up tour. Kicking off on Monday, January 14 at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL, "COMEDY CENTRAL Live On Campus Presents Greg Giraldo: The Indecision 2008 Tour" will travel to numerous cities nationwide (see list at the end of the release). President Bush impressionist James Adomian as well as other comedians (TBD) will be the openers on the tour. Tour info is available at www.comedycentral.com. Additional tour dates are continually being added to the schedule and will be posted on the site. As part of the tour, one lucky winner will be selected at random via an online sweepstakes which launches on February 16 to get a 2008 KIA Spectra SX and $2,000. The sweepstakes will run through May 12. The tour is sponsored by KIA and KFC. Greg Giraldo is one of New York City's top comedians and headliner in clubs across the country and has become one of the most versatile and highly entertaining comics working today. Previous to his days in comedy, Giraldo worked as a lawyer having attended Columbia University and Harvard Law School. Giraldo's television appearances include numerous performances on "Late Show with David Letterman," as a guest on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" over a dozen times and as a regular panelist on "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn," which aired for three seasons on COMEDY CENTRAL. In October 2006, COMEDY CENTRAL Records(R) released his first stand-up CD "Good Day To Cross A River." Giraldo will host COMEDY CENTRAL's "Friday Night Stand-Up" on Friday, February 8 from 10:00 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ET/PT. Giraldo will appear as a comic advocate in COMEDY CENTRAL's new series "Lewis Black's Root of All Evil," debuting March 13 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, in which Black puts pop culture on trial and presides over the comedic proceedings. The show pits two people such as Paris Hilton vs. Dick Cheney or pop culture topics such as You Tube vs. Porn against each other in an open debate setting. A rotating group of comedians will take the stage and argue who or what is most evil with Black making the final decision between the two. "COMEDY CENTRAL Live" is the network's successful live comedy venture working with today's leading stand-up comedians. Celebrating its fifth anniversary in 2007, "COMEDY CENTRAL Live" has sold over one million tickets and grossed 40 million dollars in box office receipts. The tours feature the hottest stand-up comedians on the scene including Dave Attell, Lewis Black, Drew Carey, Dave Chappelle, Jim Gaffigan, Demetri Martin, Carlos Mencia, Brian Regan and Wanda Sykes.
