SAN DIEGO, Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- CommNexus San Diego is pleased to announce three new members to its Board of Directors. CommNexus welcomes the new Directors, including Rick Baldridge, President and COO of ViaSat; Stan Glasgow, President and COO of Sony Electronics, Inc.; and Martin Waters, Founding/ Managing Partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati San Diego. John Major, President of MTSG and Chairman of Broadcom (Nasdaq: BRCM) was re-elected to serve as CommNexus Chairman.

The newly elected Board members are (in alphabetical order):
Richard Baldridge - President & COO, ViaSat
Richard A. Baldridge joined ViaSat in April 1999 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. From September 2000 to August 2002, Mr. Baldridge served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. He currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Baldridge came to ViaSat from Raytheon Corporation where he was vice president and general manager of its Raytheon Training Systems division. Mr. Baldridge also held various senior management roles within General Dynamics Corporation. Mr. Baldridge graduated with a B.S. degree in business administration, and an emphasis in information systems from New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, where he is a member of the NMSU School of Business Hall of Fame.
Stan Glasgow - President & COO, Sony Electronics, Inc.
Stan Glasgow is the president and chief operating officer of Sony Electronics Inc. He was appointed to the position in March 2006. Prior to this role he served as president of Sony Electronics Consumer Sales Company. Previously, Glasgow was senior vice president of Sony Electronics Information Technology Products Division. Glasgow joined Sony in 2001 as vice president of computer displays where he managed product and loss and marketing operations for LCD and CRT displays. Prior to joining Sony in 2001, Glasgow was the owner and president of Capetech Sales, where he spearheaded sales of display products and consulting services to Asian electronics companies. Through the establishment of contracts with major U.S. IT companies, Glasgow was able to increase sales by more than $400 million for several Asian companies. Prior to that, he was CEO of Capetronic Computer Products Holdings Ltd., a global display manufacturing company with more than $600 million in Far East/OEM manufacturing revenue. Glasgow holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Martin Waters - Partner, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati
Martin (Marty) Waters is a partner in the San Diego, California office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Marty represents numerous public and private growth companies, primarily in the life sciences and telecommunications industries, in a general counsel capacity. He also handles a wide variety of complex commercial transactions for clients, including public offerings of equity and debt securities; friendly and hostile mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; licensing transactions; venture capital financings; equipment leasing transactions; and the formation of partnerships, strategic alliances, and joint ventures. Marty regularly counsels boards of directors, management, and investors on the governance and regulation of business entities and securities laws. In addition to life sciences and telecommunications, his industry experience encompasses a broad range of issues and industries, including Internet and e-commerce, financial services, new and traditional media, and real estate.
