Compirion Healthcare Solutions Wins Consulting Contracts With Three Hospitals
ELM GROVE, Wis., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Compirion Healthcare Solutions, headquartered in Elm Grove, Wisconsin, recently has been awarded contracts with three hospitals nationwide. They are United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, West Virginia; Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Kentucky; and Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw, Michigan. Compirion has been retained to help improve process efficiencies and financials in the Emergency Room and in Inpatient Units at United Hospital and Taylor Regional. Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw has engaged Compirion to help improve its volume and efficiencies in Surgical Services and Inpatient Units. The core of the work has begun at all three hospitals.
At United Hospital, Compirion consultants are concentrating on improving Patient Satisfaction Scores, shortening Throughput Time, reducing the number of patients who Left Without Being Seen, reducing average Inpatient Discharge Time, and reducing Length of Stay in the Emergency Room and Inpatient Units. In addition, they will be fully re-engineering triage for the hospital and for a new facility. New net financial contributions are expected from volume increases in Emergency Room outpatients and admits, reducing labor costs through better hiring and retention, and improved labor productivity.
Taylor Regional has engaged Compirion in consulting work at both the hospital and Urgent Care Clinic. The Compirion team will concentrate on improving Patient Satisfaction scores in the Emergency Room and Inpatient Units, establishing a Physician Satisfaction measurement system toward improving Physician Satisfaction, reducing Throughput Time, reducing the number of patients who Left Without Being Seen, improving Core Measures and Quality Scores, and facilitating implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR). The goal for new revenue has been set at $2,000,000 annualized.
Compirion consultants at Covenant Healthcare will be working toward improving Inpatient and Surgical Patient Press Ganey rankings, Surgical Core Measures, Operating Room Utilization, Case Starts, Room Turn Time, and Operating Room Physician and Staff Satisfaction. Compirion consultants will also assist with EMR installation support. The new-revenue goal has been set for $5,000,000 annually, which is expected to come from increased billable patient volume, improved copay collections, reduced labor costs, and improved utilization of materials and services.
