Founded in 1996, Reliant provides technology and solutions to migrate data between different applications, databases and systems. Its primary product, Reliant Bridge, is a data conversion language engine that migrates data from one platform to another. Reliant's solutions reduce the time and cost associated with migrating data from existing legacy applications to new e- commerce or web-based applications and their associated relational databases. Compuware expects to integrate Reliant's data migration technology into its File and Data Management client/server product line, furthering its strategy of implementing data management across the enterprise. Reliant's 23 employees will transition to Compuware's Testing and Implementation lab in Farmington Hills, Michigan, as a result of the acquisition.
