NEW YORK and SAO PAULO, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Consist Software Solutions Inc., a leading provider of information technology applications and IBM (NYSE: IBM) announced a technology agreement with multi-year potential revenue in excess of $200 million (US) that enables Consist to standardize its applications on IBM software.

Consist will provide its clients in the financial services, telecommunications, energy and utilities, government and healthcare industries with new software applications that embeds IBM's software portfolio to support new IT infrastructure projects. Consist chose to standardize on IBM software to provide clients with a scalable and reliable platform to help transform their business and reduce operational costs.

With today's news, Consist announced two new software applications built on IBM DB2 database software to help customers more efficiently develop, deploy and manage applications across the enterprise and make more informed business decisions. ConsistADS is an advanced development platform that enables NATURAL* language developers to quickly deploy new and existing applications within their existing IT infrastructure, helping to reduce maintenance costs and drive more value out of existing IT assets.

ConsistBIS is a comprehensive business application suite that provides clients with a personalized portal that integrates data to help decision makers conduct management strategy, business intelligence, business process management, human resources management and other key business functions.

The new applications are the first in a suite of Consist software that will include the entire IBM software portfolio including DB2, Cognos, WebSphere, Rational, Tivoli and Lotus. The Consist portfolio includes ConsistGEM -- Global Enterprise Management; ConsistGRP -- Government Resource Planning; ConsistHR -- Human Resource Management; ConsistGPA -- Business Process Management; ConsistBI -- Strategic Management Suite; ConsistIMS -- Insurance Management System; ConsistHMS -- Healthcare Management System; and ConsistEPM -- Enterprise Project Management.
