Continental Airlines Announces Pricing of Public Offering of Convertible Notes
HOUSTON, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) today announced the pricing of its public offering of $200 million in aggregate principal amount of its 4.5% convertible notes due 2015. Continental granted the underwriters of the notes a thirty-day option to purchase up to an additional $30 million aggregate principal amount of the notes solely to cover over-allotments. The net proceeds to Continental from this offering, after deducting underwriting discounts and estimated offering expenses, will be approximately $194.8 million. Continental expects to use the net proceeds of this offering for general corporate purposes. The offering is expected to close Dec. 11, 2009, subject to customary closing conditions.
