Investment Audit Systems, a major provider of Investment Cost Accounting services to CPA's,

Financial Planners, Trust & Estates attorneys and tax preparers, announced today the availability of its Cost Basis Calculator for Municipal and Corporate Bonds.

Using a database of over 5 million bonds and thousands of Call Schedules and Coupon Rate changes, the new calculator computes a yield to next call and yield to maturity.  It then develops an amortization or accretion schedule and finally derives the realized gain/loss on a Sale transaction.

This calculation has always been required for tax preparation on Schedule D, but soon Broker/Dealers will be required to report bond cost basis to their clients as part of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act. 

The new service is available on the web (www.Investment-Audit.com) or as an Excel Add-In over its Cloud based services.

The Bond service joins calculators for Equities and Mutual Funds, now 10 years running.
