
Council of NAIMA Spotlights its Founding Members
Fifteen Insulation Industry Leaders Help Launch New Coalition

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The Council of the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association announced today that 15 insulation manufacturers and suppliers have signed on as "founding members" of the organization. This core group of companies represents the first time that the broad insulation industry is uniting to speak with one voice on Capitol Hill.
"The insulation industry believes that the time is right for our manufacturers and suppliers to come together and educate policy-makers about insulation's unique ability to create jobs quickly and conserve energy," said NAIMA President and CEO Kate Offringa, who directs the Council's day-to-day operations.
"Insulation is an invaluable resource in the effort to create jobs and improve energy efficiency," said Offringa.

The Council is currently engaged in efforts to pass the proposed Home Star and Building Star programs -- new legislative approaches that will stimulate manufacturing and job growth in existing industries by providing strong incentives for energy efficiency retrofits in residential and commercial buildings.
Membership in the Council of NAIMA is open to thermal and acoustical insulation manufacturers -- regardless of insulation product type -- and their suppliers located in North America.
