Proceeds from the Ninth Annual CourionCares Charity Auction to Benefit the Cam Neely Foundation and Boston's Curley School

FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Nov. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Courion® Corporation, leaders in access governance, provisioning, and compliance today announced that their 9th annual employee charity auction raised more than $18,500 for local charities, beating the 2008 record amount of $16,500.

Proceeds of the auction will be donated to the Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care and the Curley K-8 Public School, located in Jamaica Plain, Mass.

WHAT:

Courion employees raised more than $18,500 by participating in a raffle and live and silent auctions

where they bid on small- and large-ticket items donated by local establishments, vendors and

partners. Items ranged from gift cards and sports tickets to autographed memorabilia and weekend

getaways.

Courion's charity auction is the yearly culmination of its ongoing philanthropic efforts through its CourionCares program. CourionCares is comprised of a range of charity programs designed to raise both cash and non-cash proceeds for organizations in need. The program includes SnackCourier, which donates proceeds from refreshments purchased by Courion employees to charities year-round; CoatCourier, a winter coat donation drive; a Holiday Gift Drive; and the School Supply Drive. To date, the programs have successfully raised more than $100,000 for local charities.

In addition to The Neely Foundation and the Curley K-8 Public School, CourionCares has made donations to The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, The American Cancer Society, The Leary Firefighters Foundation, The Red Sox Foundation and Worcester, Mass. Public Schools, among others.
