Digital newsstand loads more than 800 publications in advance of public release

ORLANDO, Fla., March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- CoverStand, Inc. announces the official launch of its digital newsstand www.coverstand.com. The site currently features more than 800 publications, and is gaining approximately 100 publications per day since its inception. It is expected to quickly surpass 4000 publications in 2010.

The first of its kind, CoverStand is a free-distribution website: there is no fee or commission required to participate. Publishers can post their publications on CoverStand for purchase by readers at a rate determined by the publisher.

The web site features unlimited types of publications including magazines, newspapers, books, catalogs, comic books, newsletters, retail and reference publications. Categories exist for area of interest (business, entertainment, sports & leisure, etc.) and offer advanced search options to allow readers to easily find their publications of interest.

CoverStand.com will accept print and digital publications that can be offered for free or via subscription. Digital publications are accepted from any digital provider. Publishers with digital provider BlueToad, Inc. can manage their CoverStand account through their account at BlueToad.com and need not create a separate CoverStand account. Publishers who are not BlueToad customers need only provide a thumbnail of their cover, a general overview of the publication, and a link to the location of the publication (or fulfillment page).
