expect their luxury vacation to include a wide scope of stimulating and
entertaining experiences," says Bret Bullock, vice president, entertainment.
"The Repertory Theatre at Sea format gives us the flexibility to regularly
present new material, which is particularly appreciated by our large number of
 repeat guests."
The performances are presented in the Galaxy Lounge on both ships, as well
as Club 2100 on Crystal Harmony and in Starlite Club on Crystal Symphony.
Since its inception, Crystal Cruises has been recognized for its extensive
shipboard entertainment programs, and has won virtually every industry
entertainment award, and most recently outscored all other cruise lines in the
category of entertainment, in the just-published CruiseMates readers' poll.
The line's offerings range from the most sophisticated to the most fun, such
as the '70s popular music theme cruise slated for this October.
Repertory Theatre At Sea joins Crystal's lavish productions featured
throughout each cruise in the Galaxy Lounge, the ships' main lounges with
horseshoe-shaped seating and rising hydraulic stage for optimum viewing. In
addition to the sophisticated staging, elaborate sets, and dynamic sound and
lighting, the award-winning shows consistently feature more than $100,000
 worth of costumes.
During a typical 12-day cruise aboard Crystal Harmony and Crystal
Symphony, guests will see five production shows, as well as a variety of
evening entertainment options such as classical music recitals, including
artists from The Juilliard School, cabaret shows, jazz concerts, and big band
and other performances perfectly suited for dancing, with one's own partner or
Crystal's gentlemen Ambassador Hosts. On select sailings, Crystal Cruises
brings aboard esteemed celebrity guest entertainers such as Joel Grey, John
Davidson, Maureen McGovern and Tommy Tune. For movie-lovers, Crystal Cruises
offers recent releases in each ship's Hollywood Theatre.
The Crystal Visions Enrichment Program offers stimulating lecturers and
celebrity guests from the worlds of politics, culture, academia and arts and
sciences. Participants include guest speakers from The Smithsonian
Associates, and Sotheby's, Atlantic Monthly editors, best-selling author David
McCullough, former U.S. press secretary Marlin Fitzwater, world-renowned wine
experts, master chef Jacques Pepin, as well as noted guest chefs from The
Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd.
Additional educational opportunities abound with the line's innovative
Computer University@Sea, the technology instruction program featuring a
complimentary curriculum -- ranging from basic word processing to publishing
your own web site -- and 24-hour e-mail and internet access. Crystal also
offers bingo, bridge instruction and games (for master points) conducted by
ACBL bridge instructors, gambling at the only Caesars Palace at Sea casino,
operated and managed by the famed Las Vegas gaming establishment, and
complimentary yoga and Pilates instruction in the ships' spa facilities,
designed in accordance with the principles of Feng Shui.
Outdoor activities include water sports in the ships' two pools, paddle
tennis, shuffleboard, table tennis, and golf driving ranges featuring
Callaway(R) equipment. Tournaments and instruction are conducted by sports
and fitness directors and, on most cruises, a golf pro.
Crystal Cruises' 50,000-ton, 940-guest sister ships Crystal Harmony and
Crystal Symphony, are two of the most spacious and luxurious vessels cruising
the world. Their unique size in the luxury market allows for smooth sailing
and a wide range of innovative facilities, generous amenities and elegantly-
