The seventh annual list recognizes corporations based on their strength of military recruiting efforts, percentage of new hires with prior military service, and company policies toward National Guard and Reserve service. Top companies were selected from a pool of approximately 5,000 eligible employers that earn a minimum of $500 million in annual revenues.
"This isn't about charity or patriotism," said Rich McCormack, who heads G.I. Jobs' list research. "It's about good business. The companies on our list understand that."
"CSC recognizes the value, loyalty, diversity and strong work ethic of America's military community," said Melinda Evans, chief global diversity officer for CSC. "We pride ourselves on our robust military recruitment program and are honored to be amongst the top 100 Military Friendly Employers."
Criteria for the rankings included assets dedicated to military hiring (28%), Reserve/Guard policies (18%), percentage of new hires who are veterans (14%), veteran training programs (10%) and previous three years' rankings (30%).
