The game design is unique. It's portable with a "tray like" game board and "wedge tight" pieces enabling players to battle each other virtually anywhere. Therefore, if play is suspended, the game can be stored and saved in the box without dismantling. Parents love this feature, less mess and no lost game pieces.

Custom made 'Las Vegas' quality dice are used to move and battle your Xiacon Guards, Officers and Generals. Xiacon game pieces are each given different value depending on their rank. This is called the "battle factor." Players either add or multiply the requisite 'battle factor' to the roll of the dice depending on action (moving or battling). So picking your battles wisely is important to the game strategy.

This new fun and exciting game plays in about 30 minutes (or less) for ages 8 and up. Since no words are needed to play, the game already has some International interest like Chinese Checkers.

Educational benefits to children are math, decision making, and strategic planning. Xiacons are non-violent and even though they "battle" they do not use weapons and, therefore, promote good sportsmanship.

The game was created by Curtis J. Paul of suburban Maryland just outside of D.C. He is the proud father of two elementary school children who helped with initial game testing. Curtis says, "The game has elements of other popular games such as Chess, Checkers, Stratego and Risk, but is significantly different."
