Dallas Printer Going Green for Practical Reasons Hires Endangered Frog for Mascot

DALLAS, Jan. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Dallas area printer, Executive Press, has gone green. They are so green that an endangered frog is the company's mascot. His name is Hop Tuit and he leaves video messages for potential printing on every door direct customers.

Executive Press is committed to environmental printing. The company uses soy-based inks and recycled or managed forest paper. Additionally, no alcohol or acetone is used in production area, and the company uses a chemical free plating system.  This Dallas Digital printing company  is committed to a recycling program for all paper & aluminum waste and conserve energy as much as possible.

Founded in 1981, the printing company offers both traditional offset printing as well as the latest in digital printing. Executive Press was not always an environmentally friendly printer. Management decided to become a green printer because it simply seemed like the right thing to do.

Executive Press is more environmentally pragmatic rather than radical. This printer likes to point out that things are not what you might initially assume. For example, as a printer the company obviously uses a large amount of paper; however, paper is biodegradable, renewable, sustainable, natural and very practical.

Soy ink is made from soybeans and in addition to being environmentally friendly, this method of printing has several advantages compared  to conventional printing. Compared to ink made from petroleum, soy-based ink produces brighter colors, improves the lifespan of offset printing machines, and facilitates the recycling of paper. Green printing is more cost effective in the long run. Soy crops require only a small amount of energy to produce and leave fewer agricultural residues than other crops. Soy ink has low levels of  volatile organic compounds, which minimizes pollution. Because it is brighter, less ink is needed to print the same amount of final product when compared to petroleum inks. Soy ink reduces ink use and printer cleanup costs.

Executive Press is driven by common sense and providing a good printed product and service. The company strives to do what is right on all fronts:  customer service, pricing, quality and the environment.
