DataSource Achieves CMM Level 3 for Software Quality

    GREENBELT, Md., May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- DataSource, Inc., a Maryland-based
 software development company, has been awarded Capability and Maturity Model
 (CMM)(R) Level 3 status, a measure of quality assurance for software
 developers.  CMM(R) certification is awarded to companies that demonstrate
 they consistently follow practices and processes that yield measurable and
 predictable success in software development.
     DataSource is a small, woman-owned IT firm that provides custom software
 development, systems integration and network services to commercial and
 government clients.  "Reaching Level 3 is a real accomplishment," said

    The Level 3 evaluation was conducted by an independent team authorized by
 the  Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University.  The
 SEI developed CMM(R) in order to establish quality assurance standards for
 software providers.  In order to receive certification, companies must exhibit
 consistent and verifiable use of CMM(R)-defined processes in their software
