David Cole Joins Ricardo, Inc. as Non-Executive Director
VAN BUREN TWP., Mich., Oct. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Ricardo, Inc. is pleased
to announce that with immediate effect, the chairman of the Center for
Automotive Research (CAR), Dr. David E. Cole, has been appointed as a
non-executive director of the company.
Dr. Cole has spent a long and distinguished career in the North
American automotive industry, working extensively on internal combustion
engines, vehicle design, and automotive industry strategic trends. Prior to
his current tenure as Chairman of CAR, Dr. Cole was director of the Office
for the Study of Automotive Transportation (OSAT) at the University of
Michigan Transportation Research Institute. His most recent research has
focused on strategic issues related to the restructuring of the North
American industry and trends in globalization, technology, market factors,
and human resource requirements.
In addition to his work for CAR, Dr. Cole is a director of the Original
Equipment Suppliers Association, as well as a non-executive director of
companies including Campfire Interactive, MSX International, Plastech, R.L.
Polk, and Saturn Electronics & Engineering. In addition, he is a member of
the executive committee of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation
(MEDC) and was recently appointed by Michigan's Governor to the Strategic
Economic Investment and Commercialization Board and the Michigan Renewable
Fuels Commission.
