The entry deadline for the premier journalism contest is 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013. Entry procedure on www.betterbnc.com has changed this year, so don't wait until the last minute to submit work. All Golden Quill entries must have been published or broadcast between Jan. 1, 2012, and Dec. 31, 2012, to be eligible. Rules and instructions for submission for the awards -- open to all news professionals in 29 counties of Western Pennsylvania -- can be downloaded from The Press Club's Web site at http://www.westernpapressclub.org or received in hard copy by contacting The Press Club at 412-281-7778 or by sending email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Winners of the Golden Quills will be announced during the awards ceremony on Monday, May 13, 2013, at the Sheraton Station Square, Pittsburgh.
