- Creates cost effective, unique-to-industry solution

ALTOONA, Penn., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its ongoing
commitment to bringing reliable software products and unyielding service to
home care, Delta Health Technologies has announced a strategic partnership
and distribution agreement with CellTrak that will allow Delta customers to
transmit clinical data via their cell phones, eliminating paper in the home
care setting. Under the terms of the agreement, Delta will make the
CellTrak product available to its customers effective immediately,
integrating the product with its software.
"CellTrak is the only mobile phone-based, real-time, point of care data
capture solution for the health care market. While others in the industry
have invested in palm and Windows CE devices, CellTrak recognized that cell
phones are far more cost effective for home health agencies to rely on,"
said Keith Crownover, president and CEO of Delta Health Technologies. "We
are very pleased to announce a strategic partnership between Delta and
CellTrak that will allow us to integrate a one of a kind, cellular- based
application that is reliable, easy to use and highly cost effective, making
the job of home care workers as easy as possible."
CellTrak is a proprietary software application for mobile phones that,
when combined with its web-based interface, represents the next generation
of technology for home healthcare agencies to better manage their home care
staff in the field. CellTrak provides real-time, GPS-based connectivity
between home care providers working in the field and support staff and
management working in the administrative offices of home healthcare
agencies. The technology eliminates inefficient and error-prone paper-based
reporting processes and leapfrogs the current technology standard of
 landline VRU systems.
The use of cell phones rather than palm devices eliminates an initial
hardware cost and allows the technology to work on cell phones already in
use, creating a predictable, fixed cost for home care agencies.
"Our partnership with Delta provides customers with an integrated
product model and end-to-end solutions from financial management to
clinical functions at the point of care. We are very excited about this
joint business opportunity," said Andrew Kaboff, Executive VP of, CellTrak.
"In addition, with the GPS technology managers at a home care agency have
access via the internet at any time to check the location of the phone,
which is an added safety feature. The application can also be integrated
with state of the art mapping capabilities, allowing health care workers in
the field to tap that resource for directions as they work in patient
The use of real-time patient specific care plans and GPS technology
will also help home care customers in complying with state organizations
for accounting of services. "By allowing a footprint of where this
technology has been, this cellular technology will allow home care agencies
to be more reliable in their compliance with state regulations and
eliminate paper log books altogether," said Crownover.
