Deltacom Introduces Ethernet Access for MPLS to Serve Business Customers in the Southeast
HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Sept. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ITC^DeltaCom, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ITCD), a leading provider of integrated communications services to customers in the southeastern United States, today announced the availability of Ethernet Access (E-Access) as an additional access option for its Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) service. Deltacom combines Native Ethernet and Equipment-based Ethernet access options to provide broad service coverage across its Southeastern network.
Deltacom's MPLS service is a multi-site data connectivity solution that provides Quality of Service (QoS) options, utilizing the Company's robust private Internet Protocol (IP) network, to support a wide range of business voice, data and video applications. E -Access to Deltacom's MPLS service is offered in bandwidth increments ranging from 2Mbps to 1Gbps. Native Ethernet access to MPLS service is currently available in fifteen markets, and the Company plans to continue service expansion across its footprint. Equipment-based Ethernet access is available across all of the Company's markets, providing service ubiquity even in locations where Native Ethernet access is not readily available.
"Expanding our MPLS portfolio to include E-Access allows Deltacom to better serve our customers that need an Ethernet interface," said Tony Tomae, Deltacom's Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "E-Access also provides greater bandwidth flexibility and higher speed solutions, enabling our business customers to efficiently converge even the most mission-critical applications over a single MPLS network, such as video conferencing, voice and data backup."
