Denver Mattress Pairs With the Salvation Army for Operation: REST ASSURED

    Denver, Nov. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- There has been a dramatic increase in the
 number of homeless men, women and children in recent years.  As a result,
 shelters across the United States have doubled, even tripled in the number of
 people that walk in their doors everyday.
     That's why, Denver Mattress Company is continuing to support the Salvation
 Army's efforts to serve those who are homeless this holiday season.  The
 Colorado-based retailer and manufacturer is launching their 4th annual
 "Operation: REST ASSURED" campaign, which means, for every mattress sold at a
 Denver Mattress store between November 27th and December 31st, $20 will be
 donated to the Salvation Army.
     Denver Mattress has donated over $700,000 to the Salvation Army in the
 past three years of Operation: REST ASSURED.  This year Denver Mattress is
 looking to donate up to $100,000 to support the campaign.  In addition, Denver
 Mattress is also underwriting a comprehensive fundraising awareness campaign
 for the Salvation Army that will include both newspaper and television
 advertising.
     "We have seen the needs of people double this year and appreciate efforts
 that help us meet the needs in our community," said Lt. Colonel Harold Brodin,
 Divisional Commander.  "This is a great program.  Beyond their financial
 support, The Denver Mattress Company's efforts really give us a boost by
 advertising during what is our most critical fundraising period.  We expect to
 offer assistance to more than 30,000 people this holiday season and thousands
 more throughout the year."
