Deputy U.S. Trade Representative to Present Export Achievement Award to AGI

The Export Achievement Award is a U.S. Department of Commerce honor recognizing small- and medium-sized enterprises that have successfully entered the international marketplace. The president's National Export Initiative encourages job creation through exports and fosters programs that help small- and medium-sized businesses engage in international trade.
For several years, AGI has used the U.S. Department of Commerce's worldwide network to assess foreign-market potential for its software. The U.S. Export Assistance Center in Philadelphia and the Department of Commerce's Gold Key Service Partner Search helped AGI overcome barriers by finding key partners in new regions, setting up infrastructure overseas and guiding the company on targeted marketing. Exports now account for approximately 10% of AGI's annual sales, and during the past two years the company has increased the number of full-time, internationally focused jobs from six to 11.
"AGI is sensitive to all export requirements as well as safeguarding U.S. technology," says AGI CEO Paul Graziani. "Our relationship with the Department of Commerce has been extremely valuable in dealing with these and other issues of international trade."
