Louisiana governor calls Bob McDonnell 'principled'

WASHINGTON, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Republican Governor Bobby Jindal got one thing right yesterday about Bob McDonnell.

Jindal, who campaigned last night for Virginia gubernatorial hopeful Bob McDonnell, called the GOP nominee "principled" in a Fox News interview today with Neil Cavuto.

"We couldn't agree more - Bob McDonnell is true to his principles," said Emily DeRose, spokeswoman for the DGA. "He's so true to them that he spent his entire legislative career following through on his principles - whether it was calling working women 'detrimental' to the family, opposing improved child care for struggling families, denying women's right to choose or rejecting equal pay for equal work. The problem is, those principles will take Virginia backward."

Jindal headlined a fundraiser last night for McDonnell that is expected to raise $250,000. Newt Gingrich also held a fundraiser for McDonnell yesterday.
