Dial for Dollars Minneapolis Jewish Federation Rallies for Support on Super Sunday
MINNETONKA, Minn., Nov. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- What is Super Sunday? Super Sunday is a day when volunteers make calls to other caring community members in support of our Federation's Community Campaign. It's all part of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation's work - caring for people in need, engaging in the community and ensuring a strong Jewish future for our children and their children. Do you have a few hours on November 18th, 2012 to lend us a hand by volunteering to make fundraising calls?
Our goal is to have every Jewish institution that serves our community—agencies, organizations, synagogues, day schools, youth groups, and other—take part in what we hope will be a very special day. It is truly about our community—coming together to build and strengthen our very own back yard.
By hearing inspirational stories from those individuals who were directly impacted by Federation's allocable funds, we help our volunteers understand how their unrestricted gift to the Federation directly impacts the agencies we all know and respect.
Federation raises funds not only for these organizations with local allocations, but also to help fund national organizations and aid those in crisis overseas. These funds help families in crisis, ensure services for seniors, people with special needs, and the unemployed, while making Jewish education and Jewish camping affordable and providing trips to Israel.
