Digi-Key's Continuing Education Center on UBM's Design News Wins the 2013 Gold Reggie Award

NEW YORK, April 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Digi-Key's Continuing Education Center on UBM's Design News community was honored last night, at a gala dinner in Chicago, winning the Gold Reggie Award in the Business-to-Business category.

Digi-Key's Continuing Education Center launched in January 2012 as an online learning university hosted on Design News, the industry's leading design engineering site, with the goal of educating design engineers on a host of design engineering technologies. Digi-Key's Continuing Education Center is the most successful online events program in UBM history, generating record-breaking registration numbers and message board posts.

The Reggie Awards, hosted by the Promotion Marketing Association, recognize standards of excellence in 20 categories and honor individuals and organizations that have achieved outstanding success. Digi-Key's Continuing Education Center on Design News was up against steep competition, beating out FedEx and Dupont for the award.

"We are thrilled to have received this award. A lot of hard work and collaboration across UBM went into making Digi-Key's Continuing Education Center a monumental success, and we're honored by the prestigious recognition from the Promotion Marketing Association," said Design News Brand Director Rich Nass.

Digi-Key's Continuing Education Center on Design News was created in partnership with UBM DeusM, UBM's marketing services division, using a proprietary publishing platform designed to support very large specialist communities, and employing multiple media in support of Digi-Key's marketing and thought leadership goals. This is the third award won this year for Digi-Key's Continuing Education Center.
