Digi Provides Wireless Broadband Backup Solution for Verizon Wireless Communications Stores

Digi Connect WAN 3G wireless gateways chosen for ease of deployment, ease of configuration

MINNETONKA, Minn., May 18 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Digi International (Nasdaq: DGII) today announced that Verizon Wireless is using Digi Connect WAN 3G high-speed cellular routers to provide wireless broadband backup connectivity at 300 Verizon Wireless Communications Stores in the U.S. The router provides backup to a high-speed connection over the Verizon Wireless network when landline service is interrupted.

"We deploy the Digi solution to our stores in the event of a natural disaster, such as a hurricane, flooding or some other local event, that knocks out landline connections.
