HARRISBURG, Pa., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Pedro A. Cortes, Secretary of the Commonwealth, ordered DS Max International Inc. and its affiliates to stop soliciting funds in Pennsylvania because neither the company nor its affiliates were registered with the Department of State's Bureau of Charitable Organizations. Cortes said the company and its affiliates were ordered to register as a professional solicitor under the state's Solicitation of Funds for Charitable Purposes Act but refused. Cortes said DS Max International and all known and unknown officers, directors, principals, shareholders, subsidiaries, agents, employees and independent contractors, including but not limited to Cydcor, Granton Marketing, Top Flight Enterprises Inc., O-Line Promotions, Inc., Executive Marketing Concepts Inc., Ultimate Promotions Inc., Elite Promotional Group Inc., and Apex Marketing and Promotions Inc., may not solicit until DS Max International is registered with the state. Any person solicited by DS Max International and its affiliates is asked to call the Bureau's Special Investigation Unit toll free at 1-800-732-0999. The Bureau has developed an online database with financial profiles on more than 7,700 registered charities as well as 350 professional solicitors and fund-raising counsels.
