Executive Brings Experience with Sun, Mobile Messaging & Embedded Software

CUPERTINO, Calif., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Ecrio, the pioneer in real-time, rich media communications and mobile commerce software, has appointed respected Silicon Valley executive Tad Bogdan to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Bogdan's duties will include expansion and management of global initiatives, with an emphasis on Ecrio's newly-enhanced rich IP communications framework and mobile payment software for customers such as Visa.

Bogdan rose to prominence at Sun, moving from sales, field training and marketing roles to manage the Javasoft Strategic Accounts team and later drive Java's successful move into smart cards. More recently, he led several new business ventures that would grow to dominate their respective markets, including his tenure as SVP of Business Development at Mobileway (later Mobile 365), a mobile messaging and marketing firm acquired in 2006 by Sybase (NYSE: SY); and SVP Worldwide Sales and Business Development for ActivIdentity (Nasdaq: ACTI). Bogdan's latest venture was founder/CEO for MultiMode, a communication platform acquired by global messaging provider Clickatell.
