eHealth Made EASY Version 3 Technology Is Preliminary ARRA 2011 Certified for Use by Hospitals and Eligible Providers Seeking to Earn Medicare and Medicaid HITECH Act Incentives
New York Firm's EHR Technology is Certified by Key Independent Commission
NEW YORK, Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- eHealth Made EASY LLC's Version 3, an electronic medical reporting product, was acknowledged today by the recognized certifying body for Electronic Health Record systems as "Preliminary ARRA 2011 Certified for CMS Quality Reporting required to support that 2011-2012 Meaningful Use Objective for Hospitals and Eligible Providers under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act" (ARRA) for financial incentives to adopt Health Information Technology.
The preliminary ARRA standard supporting a "Meaningful Use Objective" for which eHealth Made EASY Version 3 has the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology's (CCHIT®'s) Preliminary ARRA certification is: CMS Quality Reporting for Hospitals and CMS Quality Reporting for Eligible Providers (This morning's CCHIT press release is available at: http://cchit.org.)
The eHealth Made EASY product is the first to receive Quality Reporting certification for both Hospitals and Eligible Providers by the Chicago-based CCHIT, a highly respected, independent, not-for-profit commission.
George Blumenthal, eHealth Made EASY's Founder and CEO, said: "We're delighted and honored to be in the very first group of organizations receiving Preliminary ARRA Certification by CCHIT for products for use by Hospitals and other Eligible Healthcare Providers seeking to earn their share of the $40 billion of incentives provided by ARRA."
"In my opinion," Mr. Blumenthal added, "The deployment of EMRs is the facilitating mechanism for a tectonic shift in improving the quality of healthcare through evidence-based medicine while 'bending the curve' in the rate of growth of healthcare costs which are strangling our country."
Free Use of eHealth Made EASY PQRI Registry
Mr. Blumenthal also announced today that to facilitate this rapid transformation to EMR technology, the Company is offering eligible providers free use of the eHealth Made EASY PQRI Registry. In addition, Mr. Blumenthal is providing academic institutions with the free use of this product as a teaching tool so that they may receive teaching grants pursuant to the November 23, 2009 ARRA announcement (EP-HIT-10-001) issued by the Office of the National Coordinator.
Mr. Blumenthal said he believes that eHealth Made EASY is the "cumulative distillation of my business experiences over the past 30 years," which dates back to his founding of Cellular Communications, Inc. - an original awardee of cellular telephone licenses in the United States and Italy. He adds, "As cellular revolutionized the connectivity among the worldwide population, internet-based EMRs will revolutionize the connectivity among healthcare providers."
