BOSTON, Jan. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- EMUZE, the first true social media magazine for entertainment, is transforming how consumers discover, share and experience entertainment as it happens using the power of social media. EMUZE announced the official launch of EMUZE.com in beta, a platform that provides content, context and information on the entertainers and content creators that are followed daily.
By aggregating stories, photos, videos and updates from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, SoundCloud and Vimeo, EMUZE.com streamlines the process of viewing and sharing content, while experiencing entertainment as it happens.
"By aggregating these content networks into a unified, streamlined platform, EMUZE.com makes it easier to follow and learn more about entertainers and the content they create," said Brett Segall, EMUZE's CEO and Founder.
EMUZE creates a personalized social entertainment magazine based on the social content that a user's favorite entertainers publish. Their experience is designed personally around their interests and the entertainers they care about and follow.
When signing up, EMUZE scans a user's Facebook and Twitter to suggest entertainers they already follow on those platforms to personalize the content-viewing experience. Once logged in, they are welcomed with their own personalized feed known as their "Waterfall," displaying chronologically all of the social content from the entertainers they follow.
The entertainer pages on EMUZE capture the essence of the entertainer and how they openly express themselves and communicate with their fans. By connecting the social network accounts that the entertainer uses, these pages are self-maintaining, displaying all the content that they publish on a daily basis from the social networks they use.
"Social Media is growing as a critical platform for entertainers to express themselves and their brand to a wider community of fans. EMUZE captures who an entertainer truly is rather than solely what they've done. This is the first time that this technology has been available to accomplish this and will help entertainers grow their fan base exponentially," said Maxwell Zotz, EMUZE's President and Co-Founder.
EMUZE successfully tested and launched its alpha product in Spring 2013 during its Verge Campus Tour that featured Kendrick Lamar and Steve Aoki and visited 27 colleges in 30 days. EMUZE, with its partner Karmaloop.com, will be announcing their second Verge Campus Tour lineup and sponsors for Spring 2014 in the coming weeks.
"EMUZE has an amazing interface. We at Karmaloop had to be a part of it. There is no doubt EMUZE will be a huge success," said Karmaloop.com CEO Greg Selkoe.
EMUZE has amassed over several thousand entertainers on the platform during its private beta with well over a million pieces of content aggregated to date.
EMUZE is a Social Media Magazine for Entertainment that helps fans of popular culture connect closer with their favorite entertainers and experience what's happening in entertainment through the power of social media. The company was founded in 2011 with the mission to connect individuals with entertainment through the power of social content and conversation. EMUZE is angel-funded and headquartered in Boston. The company owns and operates EMUZE.com and the Verge Campus Tour. You can find out more information about EMUZE at www.emuze.com/about/press.
