Endangered Species Chocolate Announces Winner of Feel Good Moment Sweepstakes
INDIANAPOLIS, May 15, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Endangered Species Chocolate (ESC) is pleased to announce Kate Higgins as the winner of their Feel Good Moment Sweepstakes. The Facebook sweepstakes took place over a three week period and had over 1200 entries. The Feel Good Moment Sweepstakes awarded $1000 to the winner and $1000 to the winner's eco-charity of choice.
Higgins selected Trash Dogs as the organization to donate her prize to. Trash Dogs is a volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining trash-free national forest lands and roads in Curry County, OR. The organization uses both people and occasionally real dogs to find trash such as carpeting, lawn mowers and televisions that have been discarded in the area. Trash Dogs is a volunteer organization and donations are critical to the organization's success.
"They are an excellent group and I would like to help them keep our environment looking so beautiful!" says Higgins, Trash Dogs Volunteer.
Participants of the Feel Good Moment Sweepstakes had to visit the company's Facebook page to enter the contest. This is the first time ESC has held a sweepstakes of this kind and hopes that it will help raise awareness of other organizations out there that embody the company's mission of giving back.
"We were waiting with anticipation wanting to know who the winner was going to be and what organization they would pick," says Nick Lee , Creative Director of Endangered Species Chocolate. "This sweepstakes was the first time we were able to give cash to someone and not just an organization and give them that "Feel Good Moment" to remember."
Endangered Species Chocolate holds several sweepstakes and contests through-out the year and encourages fans to visit the company's Facebook page to become involved in these events. For more information on ESC and additional ways to become involved visit www.chocolatebar.com.
