Environmental Resource Center and Competitive Edge Offering ANSI/RAB Accredited ISO 14000 Lead Auditor Training
CARY, N.C., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- ISO 14000 is an internationally
approved specification for the development of an environmental management
system (EMS). Both industry and government are beginning to see proof of the
many positive impacts an EMS can have on a company's environmental and
financial performance. In addition to these rewards, market pressures may
begin to bring about customer requirements for certification, similar to the
case of ISO 9000, making it necessary to gain certification in order to remain
competitive.
Environmental Resource Center and Competitive Edge announced today an
agreement to add Competitive Edge?s ANSI/RAB accredited ISO 14000 Lead Auditor
training to Environmental Resource Center?s comprehensive course schedule of
environmental, health, and safety training.
This five day advanced ISO 14000 EMS Lead Auditor course is designed to
provide knowledge and practical hands-on experience in EMS program auditing.
Through eleven audit simulation exercises students will gain valuable
experience and a clearer understanding of how to audit an ISO 14001 EMS. As
a result, they will build a foundation of knowledge to develop EMS
auditing skills and leave with the confidence to effectively audit an ISO
14001 EMS.
This course is ANSI/RAB accredited. Successful completion of an ANSI/RAB
accredited course is a prerequisite to obtaining RAB EMS Auditor
certification.
Courses are currently scheduled for Dayton, Ohio (November 9-13, 1998)
and Charlotte, North Carolina (November 30-December 4, 1998). Additional
courses will be held in cities across the country throughout 1999.
ISO 14000 certification requires a team effort and Environmental Resource
Center and Competitive Edge support this effort by offering companies the
opportunity to send one employee for free, with every two paid registrations.
In addition to comprehensive training and course materials, students can
also receive 500 American Airlines AAdvantage miles with attendance.
