MAHWAH, N.J., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Lightstone Securities announced today that Eric Retzlaff has joined the company as senior vice president for business development. Retzlaff will report to Stephen H. Hamrick, the company's president, and will focus initially on Lightstone's growing network of broker-dealers.

Prior to joining Lightstone Securities, Retzlaff served as a senior vice president for AXA Equitable, leading all aspects of the wholesale distribution division's three operating businesses, including client management, asset growth, funds management and product design. Retzlaff managed budgets exceeding $100 million, improving vendor negotiations, processes and contracts.

"Eric is a seasoned executive with substantial experience on both coasts," said Lightstone Group founder and CEO David Lichtenstein. "His knowledge of the investment industry and successful track record made him an ideal candidate to complement our team."

Retzlaff earned his master's degree from Claremont Graduate University and his bachelor's degree from Principia College. He is also a registered principal for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the founder and co-chair of the National Marketing Roundtable.
