Ethernity Networks Will be Showcasing the Programmable Network(TM) at 2006 ITU Telecom Hong Kong
LOD, Israel, November 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Ethernity Networks Ltd, a
leading supplier of Access Flow Processors on ultra low cost FPGA, will
demonstrate 5Gbps TR-101 and Metro-Ethernet-Forum-compliant device on ultra
low cost device enabling advanced flexibility, programmability and field
upgradeability.
Ethernity ENET product line is the only device available in the market
today that provides the above functionality in a low cost FPGA equipped
with low cost DDR2 external memory, and competes with off the shelve
Network processors and packet processors on price, functionality and
flexibility. ENET 3000 provides the best price performance available today
in the industry and enables Telecom Equipment Manufactures to gain maximum
flexibility at a low cost while still using FPGA for large volumes.
Populating the solution on low cost FPGA enables Ethernity to provide
deterministic throughput of 5 Gbps at 64 bytes, which is three times more
than the closet Network processor competitor. Populating the same
technology on higher end FPGA enables Ethernity to provide 20Gbps solution.
This enables Telecom Equipment Manufacture to use a single interworking
solution supporting any media, protocols and throughput. By offering the
ENET3000 Access Flow Processor solution on FPGA, we offer the access
equipment designer a number of advantages associated with FPGA design
including: customization of interfaces, field upgradeability, ability to
incorporate other board logic and a path for an additional cost reduction.
ENET technology includes field proven wire speed pipeline lowest cost
processing architecture enabling the support of up to 20Gbps, and composed
of several programmable atomic engines coupled with unique integration of
low cost DRAM memories. The technology includes search engine that support
up to 128,000 entries through a single DDR2, without the need for external
CAM span into 32 programmable search tables, segmentation and reassembly
technology support multiple size of fragment frames, hierarchical traffic
management, wire speed multicast for advanced triple play services, Multi
port switching.
Furthermore, Ethernity's devices support an intuitive programmable
protocol definition and packet editing, which provides the customer the
ability to program the device to support new protocols, without the need
for SW programming.
Pricing and availability:
ENET3000 is available and includes design kit with full software suit,
schematics, data sheet and evaluation board. The ENET3000 package includes
the actual FPGA Plus encryption CPLD and priced at $30 to $70 depending on
functionality and throughput
