Fathers' Rights Attorney Jeffery Leving Fights for Abducted Child in China - Court Tomorrow
ROCKFORD, Ill., Aug. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday February 11, 2009 at 9:00 a.m., Chicagoland Fathers' Rights attorney Jeffery M. Leving and attorney Andrey Filipowicz will seek an Order from Winnebago County Judge Joseph J. Bruce holding in Contempt of Court the mother who allegedly abducted to Shanghai China the 10 year old son of Winnebago County father Matthew Clayton. Leving and Filipowicz are representing the father with the support of the Shenda Partner's law firm in Shanghai, China. Leving will be asking Judge Bruce to enter an order fining the mother $1000 for each month since the abduction that the mother fails to return the boy to his father.
On September 25, 2007, Clayton reported to the Rockford Police Department that his child was picked up by his estranged wife on August 30th and never returned. Clayton has sole custody of the boy. It was later discovered that the mother fled to Shanghai with the boy. The mother has been indicted for parental kidnapping and there is an outstanding federal warrant for her arrest.
"The mother has no ties to China, she is not ethnically Chinese, and doesn't speak the language. The boy needs to be returned to his father," commented Mr. Leving. The proceedings are scheduled to take place tomorrow in Courtroom 455, Winnebago County Courthouse, 400 West State Street, Rockford, Illinois.
