American Airlines and Fidelity Investments today announced Fidelity's
participation in the AAdvantage(R) program. AAdvantage program members will
be able to earn thousands of miles toward award(1) travel when they become
a new customer and open a brokerage account at Fidelity(2).

By becoming a new Fidelity customer and opening a first brokerage
account, AAdvantage members can earn the following miles:
* 5,000 miles for a deposit of $2,500 - $9,999
* 15,000 miles for $10,000 - $49,999, and
* 25,000 miles for deposits of $50,000 or more

This agreement is the latest in a series of major agreements of this
type for Fidelity. The company recently announced a new agreement with
Amazon Services, an Amazon.com, Inc. company, which includes premier
sponsorship of leading online retailer Amazon's first financial services
"store," as well as advertising throughout the Amazon.com site.
The new arrangement will be promoted through the AAdvantage program,
on- board American Airlines flights, through direct mail and online
