New technology service provides dog friendly info, educates owners, and helps homeless animals.

SAN FRANCISCO, June 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Fido Factor, the ultimate guide to dog friendly locations in San Francisco, announced today the launch of their website, mobile optimized website, and iPhone/iPod touch application. San Francisco dog owners can use Fido Factor to find pre-qualified dog friendly locations, learn important dog safety tips, and support homeless animals in San Francisco.

Dog owners can browse five categories; including restaurants, bars, retail stores, attractions and parks, or look up locations by name or neighborhood. For each location there are important details like leash policy and permitted dog hours, and fun details like dog treat and water bowl availability. For owners uncertain their dog is ready to explore the city, Fido Factor offers a comprehensive education section, complete with safety, training, and behavior articles and the ability to ask trainers from The SF/SPCA questions. Users can even add their own dog friendly locations and contribute reviews based on their personal dog experience and be rewarded for doing so. For each review or location added, Fido Factor will make a donation to The SF/SPCA, which users can track on their profile. These donations help to shelter, care, and place homeless dogs and cats in new homes.
