Artificial Life was previously chosen by Adult Swim for the launch of its first iPhone game, Amateur Surgeon, in December, 2008. The game's top ranking reached #5 in the paid game apps section on iTunes; the "Lite" version reached #2 for free game apps; both the full and "Lite" versions have been in the top #100 since launch under the "Adventure" and "Strategies" categories in most of the countries where the game is available. The two companies have plans to launch more mobile titles over the next year.
Five Minutes to Kill (Yourself), originally an online game from Adult Swim, is brought to the iPhone with enhanced features added on top of the original terrific gameplay and storyline The iPhone version offers a multiplayer mode (via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth), and a direct connection to Facebook for players to publish their scores and comments onto their walls.
In the game, you're a common, everyday desk jockey at some blah company, sitting in your blah cubicle. Suddenly you decide that you'd rather die than go to another stupid meeting. But how to get the job done? This fast-paced adventure game gives you exactly 5 minutes to kill yourself before the next boring meeting starts. Fortunately, your office is filled with a great variety of fun and dangerous objects: staplers, copiers, blow torches, a shark tank, and even a pack of rabid weasels.
Game Features:
-- Easy-to-use controls makes killing yourself a delight
-- A three-storey office for you to explore and discover the most
efficient ways to kill yourself
-- Ordinary office supplies and equipments which help you to die in
extraordinary ways
-- Provoke co-workers by using small talk that's as rude and offensive as
possible!
-- Challenge friends or even a stranger in a race to the death in the
multiplayer mode
-- Taunt your Facebook friends with your score showing how well you
managed to end your life
"We are excited to have teamed up with Adult Swim on another iPhone game to expand their iPhone product portfolio after our previous successful collaboration on Amateur Surgeon. With the addition of Five Minutes to Kill (Yourself), Adult Swim fans can enjoy another installment of wacky, edgy gaming on the iPhone," said Eberhard Schoneburg, CEO of Artificial Life, Inc.
Five Minutes to Kill (Yourself) is now live in the Apple App Store and is available for purchase at: http://itunes.com/app/5minutestokillyourself
