FleetRecorder Announces Integration with Garmin's Fleet Management Interface

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Sept. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- At the McLeod Software Users' Conference, FleetRecorder announced and demonstrated integration with Garmin's Fleet Management Interface technology.    The demonstration was performed using Garmin's dÄ"zl 560LMT display and FleetRecorder's Symphony Web Service.

Garmin's Fleet Management products provide a digital solution that complies with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations for Automatic on-board Recording Devices (AOBRD).  The technology allows truck drivers to record their Hours of Service (HOS) and also automatically archives fuel usage and the number of miles driven in a given state or province. Truckers can use this information to fill out logbooks, forms and tax materials. This data can be exported from the unit and can be beneficial in submitting the quarterly International Fuel Tax Agreement Documentation (IFTA) truck drivers are required to report.

 FleetRecorder's Symphony™ Web Service presents detailed vehicle and fleet information through an intuitive and configurable interface as well as real-time alerts through email, and text messages.  Symphony™ data services also interface to other software applications such as McLeod's Loadmaster software.  The resulting system provides fleet operators with greater efficiency, improved performance, and significant cost savings.
