Florida International University Latin American Media Directory Now Available On Diskette

    MIAMI, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Media Center at Florida
 International University announces the publication of its 1998 Latin American
 Media Directory which contains a series of additions designed to make it more
 useful to buyers.
     The 428-page directory is now available on a diskette for mail merges and
 labels.
     As well, the new edition contains a description of the media scene in each
 country so that readers can judge which outlet or outlets best serve their
 needs.
     The edition also includes the names of foreign correspondents for those
 who might wish to contact someone on the scene.
     The directory lists all 1,102 daily newspapers -- from Canada in the north
 to Tierra del Fuego in the south -- which publish in Spanish or Portuguese.
 There are more than 4,000 radio and television stations listed, including all
 the chains plus major independent outlets.
     The number of e-mail addresses has doubled in this edition as more Latin
 American media join the Internet.
     The directory costs $87 and the diskette $50.  The diskette is not sold
 separately from the directory.  Payment can be made by check, P.O. number or
 Master/Visa cards.
     Income from the sale of the directory helps fund training activities for
