ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida Medical Clinic (FMC), a multispecialty group practice, has selected the PDS PRISM to expand analytical and reporting capabilities.

The implementation involves leveraging existing infrastructure using Sage Practice Analytics, a data repository for FMC's Sage Intergy practice management system. PDS will extract data from the Sage repository and FMC's Great Plains general ledger to build and join relational data marts for revenue cycle and expense data. Staging data sets from these disparate systems will allow FMC to automate a wide variety of reporting capabilities, including income statements by department and location.

"PDS was able to assess our needs and recommend a solution tailored to our unique requirements," according to Chris Alvarez, Chief Financial Officer for FMC. "PRISM will enhance our capabilities to analyze data and dramatically improve efficiencies in reporting to providers and managers throughout our practice," says Alvarez.

PDS will initially provide PRISM to FMC through a Software-as-a-Service model, and at a later date, the data warehouse and suite of tools will be transitioned to a FMC server. The approach allows considerable flexibility and minimizes IT staff resources throughout the implementation and eventual migration in-house.
